ProfileAlbert Shieh, MD is a clinician-scientist at the University of California, Los Angeles. He obtained his BS in Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Following his undergraduate studies, he earned his MD at the Weill Cornell Medical College. For residency, he trained in Internal Medicine at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College. Most recently, he completed his fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at UCLA, where he is now Clinical Instructor in the Divisions of Geriatrics and Endocrinology. His clinical and research interests focus on vitamin D and bone metabolism. He has published in high-impact journals in his field, including The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, as well as The Journal of Bone and Mineral Research. He has also served as a reviewer for Osteoporosis International, and guest editor for the Bone Disorders issue of Endocrinology Metabolism Clinics of North America.
