  • Nutraceutical ingredients pioneer solidifies leadership position in berry-based extracts with new category-defining brand

(Ft. Wayne, IN – January 25, 2017) -- Artemis International, a pioneer in the science of dark berry extracts and leading supplier of flavonoid-rich, nutraceutical ingredients, announces the launch of its new Berryceuticals™ brand. The name is a nod to Artemis’ core expertise, and was developed to further define, communicate, and strengthen the company’s category leadership position in berry-based nutraceutical ingredients for the dietary supplement, functional food and beverage, and cosmeceutical industries.

“For the past 22 years, Artemis has been committed to developing and supplying the best science-based dark berry extracts for our customers,” says Jan Mills, Founder and CEO of Artemis International. “Never has there been a better time to put our stamp on this booming category, with the ongoing news[1] about the health benefits of dark

colored fruits and veggies, especially berries.  We’re doing just this, by branding the term Berryceuticals, and making it our own.”

The Artemis Berryceuticals™ portfolio includes extracts from Elderberries, Aroniaberries, Bilberries, Cranberries, Blueberries, Black Currants, and other popular and unique dark berries. The health benefits of these dark colored berries are supported by mounting scientific evidence surrounding the polyphenol group of compounds called flavonoids, that are remarkably abundant in these berries.   Artemis Berryceuticals™ provides the concentrated and natural phytonutrient goodness of these berries in ingredient forms that are used in a wide range of health and wellness-focused products.

Artemis also offers several non-berry high flavonoid content botanical products, such as Purple Corn and Purple Tea, which are receiving recognition in the press recently for its newly popularized “purple-based” health benefits.

Elderberries, and the immunity-enhancing benefits of this berry, will be the focus of Artemis International’s Berryceuticals portfolio in 2017. Artemis Elderberry extracts are produced through a proprietary and differentiating process, called Holistic Membrane Extraction™, that delivers the whole fruit matrix in final ingredient form for maximizing extract efficacy.

“We foresee a bright and colorful future for Berryceuticals” adds Leslie Gallo, Vice-President of Sales and Operations.  “We are carving out and capturing this compelling, berry-based nutraceutical category under our new Berryceuticals™ brand.  Our goal is to strengthen our position as the #1 go-to trusted source for premium flavonoid-rich  Berryceutical™ ingredients.”

Artemis International will be exhibiting at Expo West/Engredea in March 2017, at Booth #351. For more information on Berryceuticals and Artemis International, please visit www.artemis-international.com.
